How do I Open a Position?

Opening a position on CAPEX is a simple process, whether you’re trading on desktop or mobile.

Here are the steps you need to take to open a trade on the WebTrader desktop platform:

  1. Log into your CAPEX.com account.
  2. Use the left-hand side menu to navigate to search for the desired instrument or browse the categories
  3. Select the desired instrument by clicking on it 
  4. Click on the Sell button if you want to enter a Sell position or Buy button if you want to enter a Buy position.
  5. In the Order pop-up window that appeared, select the trade amount and click on the Place Order button.

Before placing the trade, you can also add a Stop Loss or Take Profit limit from the same pop-up window.

 

 

📱Opening a Position on Mobile

For opening a trade on mobile, take the following steps:

  1. Open the CAPEX app and log into your account.
  2. Use the Search button on the bottom menu to search for the desired instrument.
  3. Tap on the name of the asset to open the detailed view.
  4. Tap on the 3 vertical dots located at the top of the screen. 
  5. Tap on New Buy Order or New Sell Order to enter a buy or sell position
  6. Use the plus and minus signs to adjust the quantity or tap between them to enter it manually.
  7. Tap the Place Order button to open the trade.

 

Where Can I See the List of Opened Trades?

On desktop, you can see all the opened positions on the bottom part of the screen. On mobile, tap the Positions button located on the bottom of the screen. 

 

What Fees or Commissions Are Associated with Opening a Trade Position?

You can see the fees in the Order pop-up on desktop or Order menu on mobile. The fees are displayed as soon as you select the amount you want to trade

 

Can I Practice Opening Trade Positions on a Demo Account?

Yes, you can practice opening positions on your demo account. The process is the same for both mobile and desktop.
